About the Calculator
The Supabase vs Neon Compute Cost Calculator is an open, independent developer utility engineered to demystify cloud PostgreSQL bills. As serverless architectures mature, software teams face a fundamental economic choice between scale-to-zero serverless compute units and flat-rate reserved virtual machine instances.
Our Mission
Provide engineering teams and CTOs with zero-bias, real-time mathematical clarity on database spend without requiring signups, sales calls, or vendor telemetry.
100% Client-Side
All calculations, curves, and comparisons run entirely inside your browser using standard JavaScript. No credentials or project schemas are ever transmitted.
Methodology & Source Data
Our pricing models are continuously verified against the official published pricing documentation of both vendors:
- Neon Pricing: $0.16 per Compute Unit (1 vCPU, 4GB RAM) per active hour, $0.35/GB storage (10GB included), and $0.09/GB egress.
- Supabase Pro Pricing: $25/mo base subscription (includes $10 compute credit covering Micro instance, 8GB storage, 250GB egress), dedicated compute addons, and $100 PITR addon.
